Recently in the area of Purlane and Wood Sorrel and Purlane and Camas, there have been 2 reported incidents involving a PitBull type of Dog attacking other dogs resulting in a homeowner being bitten also. The pitbull is described as being tan and white and a worn collar.
The first incident took place when a homeowner was walking her dog with her grandchild when the pitbull attacked. A CPS worker was in the area and was able to aid the homeowner. This resulted in the homeowner being bitten.
The second incident also involved an attack on a smaller dog being walked. Homeowners in the area were able to scare the pitbull away. The result of this attack leaving the homeowners pet severly injured.
SAPD and Animal Control have been contacted and both incidents have been reported.
Homeowners are reminded to insure your pets are not allowed to run loose. The next incident could be a child!
